QHSE Policy
Our philosophy is to focus on prevention and every individual / team is committed to "doing the right things right from the first time, every time". Pro-active involvement and action is expected from all employees and sub-contractors for we believe that Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) protection is the responsibility of everybody.
In order to achieve this goal and to build a QHSE culture, Verger Delporte shall:
- Provide products and services of the highest possible standards by listening to the needs of our customers and gather relevant feedback to improve our performance.
- Comply with all applicable legislations, regulations with specific reference to the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety System Framework (OHSAD SF), requirements of International standards and other requirements to which we subscribe:
- Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental objectives are set, reviewed and achieved at all levels of the business with a focus on continual improvement in products, services, performance and resource.
- Ensure that the quality of service delivered to customers consistently meets or exceed their expectations and respond effectively to any concerns about the level of service provided. Provide leadership by example through managing HSE accountability, authority and performance as a line responsibility:
- Demonstrate commitment towards prevention of injury and ill health;
- Eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks. Provide a secure and safe work environment to protect all employees, sub-contractors and any other persons visiting our work sites from harm;
- Ensure occupational health and safety risks and opportunities of our personnel are identified and necessary control measures are taken;
- Ensure that the views of workers and their nominated representatives are taken into account through the conduct of consultation and participation meetings especially in making Occupational Health & Safety decisions that may affect our workers’ health and safety.
- Promote HSE awareness to ensure that all employees and sub-contractors understand and accept ownership that they are responsible for their own safety and that of others around them;
- Provide appropriate information, systems of communication, instruction, training and supervision to maintain and continually improve the competence levels of all employees and the overall QHSE performance of the company.
- Ensure pollution prevention by minimizing the environmental impact of our operations, where reasonably practicable, by reducing energy consumption, use of fuel and implementing initiatives to reduce waste to landfill.
- Continue to develop a positive Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture across the organization, involving employees in the development and implementation process.
