Purging Pestering Plastics – (JULY 23, 2026)
Verger Delporte UAE Ltd once again partnered with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) for the 3rd cycle of the “Purging Pestering Plastics” campaign in 2026, contributing 205 kg of plastic for recycling and dedicating 17 hours and 5 minutes of volunteering to the initiative.
Since the campaign’s launch in 2024, Verger Delporte has taken part in every cycle, reflecting a consistent, long-standing commitment to plastic waste reduction alongside EEG. Across the 2025 and 2026 cycles combined, the company has recycled a total of 430 kg of plastic.
This year’s contribution marks a decrease of 20 kg from 2025, equivalent to an 8.9% reduction. Rather than a decline in engagement, this drop reflects a genuine reduction in plastic consumption across company operations, showing that our efforts go beyond recycling to also using less plastic overall.
This contribution has earned Verger Delporte the opportunity to plant one tree during EEG’s “For Our Emirates We Plant” programme, scheduled for 17 December 2026, bringing the company’s cumulative planting total to 9 trees across its recycling initiatives with EEG
